This 7 Shank is 6 1/2 long and has quite a bit of weight behind the mouthpiece, which allows a quick releasefrom the riders hands. This is an excellent transition bit out of an O-ring or d-ring. The 5 1/8 two-piece twisted wire mouthpiece is slightly more aggressive than a smooth mouthpiece, which demands more response and respect from the horse.
