The gag bit gives precise action to your horse's balance. It makes the horse lift his whole front end and therefore puts his weight on the back end. It is generally used on horses which are quite heavy and puts much weight on the shoulders. Special cheek straps are used, made of either leather or nylon. (These are not included with this bit.)
