Soft Shell Vest

Point Two Soft Shell Vest - Adult

Introducing the Point Two Soft Shell Vest - A fantastic safety alternative for the style conscious rider. The Point Two Soft Shell is discreet and stylish for virtually any activity. Identical to any other soft shell vest used for riding but with one major difference it has a fully integrated Point Two ProAir2 airbag and trigger system.

Point Twos exclusive trigger system is discreetly hidden in the front pocket of the vest with a small opening for the lanyard which can be hidden within the Vest when not riding.

How the Soft Shell Vest works: The air vest is inflated by a canister of C02, stored on the front of the vest. When the rider separates from the saddle, the canister is activated by the release of a lanyard that is clipped from the vest onto an attachment on the saddle. The air bags will inflate within one tenth of a second roughly equivalent to the blink of an eye.

The ProAir will hold the rider tight for 15-20 seconds and then slowly deflate over two to three minutes. While the Vest is inflated, the rider will continue to have full movement of their waist, arms and legs, and partial movement of their head.

Areas of protection: The Point Two Soft Shell Vest has been proved to work in three ways; to distribute pressure, absorb shock and support the spinal column in the event of a fall. When inflated, the airbag system offers the collar of the neck and trunk more support, thus reducing the risk of over bending the spinal column.

Should it be worn with or without a body protector? The safest way to wear the Soft Shell Vest is in conjunction with a conventional body protector. Some riders who use the Soft Shell at home or while hunting tell us they prefer to use it on its own where they previously would have worn no safety equipment at all. But for UK competition, the ProAir must be used with a BETA-approved Level 3 body protector such as the Racesafe 2010, on which the P2-RS is built. The Point Two Soft Shell Vest is ful
