A full-service equestrian facility located in central Canada, Versatility Ventures offers a full range of equine services including breeding, training and showing, coaching and clinics, judging and horses for sale. Owned and operated by Wanda Asbenlieder and Doug McGonigal, our 320 acres of beautiful prairie grasslands is just 15 minutes north of the Trans-Canada Highway at Gladstone, Manitoba.

Our horses and students have excelled in everything from halter and rail classes, to dressage and over fences, to barrel racing and cattle events earning more than 200 National Championships, All-Around Wins and High Point Awards.

Services Offered

Training: Our training program is designed to bring out the natural abilities of each and every horse. By incorporating the principles of classical dressage with common sense, and mutual trust and respect, we are able to provide our horses not only with a solid foundation but the ability and skills required to become successful in a specific event and the soundness of mind and body that will enable them to develop into truly versatile all-around athletes.

Our coaching program is for the true beginner all the way to the advanced student and is both fun and challenging. By completely customizing the training program of every horse and rider we are able to enhance individual personalities and abilities and allow both to develop their full potential. We believe that through reinforcing and praising positive actions horse and rider will have the best possible opportunity to succeed, and that attention to the smallest detail will bring about the greatest success.

While our program has produced multiple futurity champions, honor roll horses, national high point horses and world show qualifiers, in Canada, the United States and in Europe; our greatest reward is developing a safe, confident, well-rounded, happy horse that brings enjoyment into their owners' lives.
