Stal Okkema [Okkema Stables] is a business concept which originated as a hobby in Kubaard. Twenty years ago, we moved to that unique location with the space to turn our hobby into a profession. It was a special opportunity to transform our hobby and expand our profession. Hence, we are pleased to see a continuously growing business. So we moved now to a new place: Jeth 5 Britswerd.

Ygram has grown to be a valuable, 1st class stud. In the begin of 1999 we bought Monte, 1 year later he got approved and in 2005 he got approved on offspring.

Our other activities include that of being an agency in Friesian Horses. Many animals are sold abroad. We make the arrangements for all aspects of the shipment and sale, whilst maintaining the communication with the buyer. Hence, we keep in touch until the horse/horses has/have arrived at their place of destination.

Our sales on the domestic market occur in much the same way as our sales abroad. Everyone who is interested in a Friesian Horse is always welcome at our stables on Jeth 5 Britswerd. Moreover, since we have the know-how, we can provide our costumers with the expert advice they need. There is always professionally trained staff available to assist you.
