Southern Usa Volunteer Horseman

I am a 62 year old male retired Canadian police detective who studies and practises natural horsemanship training methods. I trained and used AQHA horses in ranching type operations and rodeo for most of my life until career ambitions prevented it.

In the last few years I have worked in person and studied under very accomplished natural horsemanship clinicians, and currently volunteer a few hours each day on a 40+ mixed breed horse operation in Canada.... (read more) I help feed, do light chores, and work with the owner's AQHA horses.

As the Canadian winters have got the best of myself and my wife, we are going to spend our annual winters in the warm southern parts of USA states preferably in Alabama, Louisiana, Texas or Arizona.

I am exploring any opportunities that may be available for me to partner with any like-minded horse folks in any of these states who could use a volunteer hand in a similar arrangement as I have here in Canada. I have no expectation of pay or anything that would come out any potential partner's pocket. Simply stated, I would volunteer a few hours most mornings except Sunday per week volunteering light labor, such as feeding, in exchange for me being able to work with your reasonably well broke and well mannered AQHA horses.

I am a non smoker, non drinker, caring, and professional individual.

We are considering spending something like Nov, Dec to April each year in the southern US.
