At Smokey Roan Ranch our blue roan stallion Gun Smoke Spider is foundation bred and has very good temperament that he passes on to his colts. We have been very selective in choosing our broodmares to make sure they have good conformation and championship bloodlines.

Training
We start every horse on the ground by doing ground work (which includes lunging, ground reining and desensitizing) only when we feel that the horse is ready do we start riding them. We train horse to do sorting, team penning and for trail riding.
