Located in Maryland's beautiful Middletown Valley, Katie Wherley's Rock Solid Training provides top-notch care for your horse. Whether in the generous stalls of the Amish-built barn or grazing in the shadow of the rolling Catoctin Mountains, your horse will receive nothing but the best. A graduate 'A' Pony Clubber and Advanced-level eventer, Katie has trained and competed horses from the lower to upper levels in eventing, jumpers, hunters and dressage.

Training
Katie specializes in training horses for eventing, but welcomes horses from any discipline. She has vast experience training horses for the hunter or jumper circuit. Katie's patient personality, combined with her years of experience, make her an excellent choice for green or difficult horses. She makes the owner's goal her own goal, and works to create successful partnerships between horse and rider.

Rock Solid Training is located within 45 minutes of several USEA and USA Equestrian recognized events, at which she regularly schools and competes her horses.

Current rates:
Full-training board: $1,000/month
Full-training board for horses in to be broke: $1,250
Half-training board: $750/month
Short-term training board: $35/day

Katie also travels throughout Frederick, Washington and Montgomery Counties on a regular basis, as well as parts of Howard and Carroll Counties. Her training ride fee for horses not at her farm is $50/ride.
