Blackwater Ranch is the name of my small horse breeding ranch. I plan to focus on primarily stock breeds though I'm just getting started again after taking a few years away from horses to go to college! Currently I have a lovely foundation bred Quarter Horse mare - Dee Frontier Flower (aka Starlight) - who will be helping me get back into the breeding world! With any luck this spring Starlight will progress nicely into some light riding and simple shows and be bred to a local Foundation stallion I've had my eye on for some time now. Depending on how she handles getting back in the saddle I may offer basic lessons with her for younger students though that is completely dependent on her. Services Offered

Training: I (Renee Varnell) offer basic training and refreshers to horses in Calhoun, Glimer, and Wirt counties at this time. This includes starting young horses. I believe training comes for a mutual trust between horse and trainer and while I heavy hand may be need for quick or sudden corrections nothing is achieve by constantly holding a heavy hand.
