Rice Quarter Horses was established in Tempe, Az in 1976 by Robert and Jo Ann Rice. During the last 35+ years, they have continued to grow their operations, with the first expansion in Chandler, AZ in 1980, then expanding even further in 2005 in Casa Grande, AZ. The Management team of Bob Rice, Jo Ann Rice and Lou Childs bring with them over 120 years of professional equine experience in Arizona, Colorado and Wyoming. Rice Quarter Horses has been involved in all aspects of the horse business to include raising, breeding, training and boarding horses in Arizona for over 35 years.... (read more) We are standing seven stallions with Doc Bar, Colonel Freckles, Shining Spark, Haidas Little Pep, Freckles Playboy, and Doc's Lynx breeding. We also operate a full care boarding facility with a limited number of stalls, lighted arena, walker and trailer parking. The ranch is also our residence.
