Our mission is raise quality registered horses that are a joy to handle and be around. We firmly believe that a horse's disposition is combination of genetics and learned behavior. It also our belief that learned behaviors from the foal's mare and human interaction at a young age dramatically influences a foal's developing disposition.
In our breeding program you find disposition of the mare to be a primary concern due the fact that we believe that a foal will learn much from their mare starting at day one.... (read more) (All of our mares are broke to ride.)
Second, you'll find that during the first weeks of the foals life, there is nearly daily interaction between us and the mare with her foal at her side. This allows the foal to learn by example. During this time we introduce the foal to a halter and lead rope. This allows the foal to begin learning the most basic of skills without removing the foal from the safety the foal feels when it is near its mother.
We have found the early interactions described above have created exceptional results and laid the ground work for foal with a disposition is quick to trust, enjoys to be around people, and is also enjoyable to be around.
