JH Appaloosa's & Quarter Horses are located just outside of Tweed, Ontario , on Old Hungerford road. At the moment we are working on upgrading the barn a the fencing. We are working on our outdoor riding pen and round pen, which will be located at the back of the barn. There is a foaling pen on the north side of the barn but can be used for any horse. We are just preparing for the foals next spring. The two north paddock have 24/7 access to water an a two nice large run-in shelter.... (read more) On the south side of the barn there is also another paddock that is almost the same as the north side but just a little bit smaller. Our facility is a prime location, located near public land (for trail riding) also with trails on the farm, and only 10 minutes for town and from the county fairgrounds.

We are also breeders of well breed registered Appaloosa's and Quarter Horses. Please contact us for more information on our breeding.

Training: Our training is strictly natural horsemanship.
Now the question is what type of training is good for your horse? Do you want your horse for pleasure trail riding? Western pleasure show? Cutting? Barrel Racing? Reining? And the list goes on.

How We Teach
First and foremost, we need to have a clear understanding with the owner about the specific goals for a horse we are going to teach.
If the horse has a behavior problem we first make sure that it does not have a physical problem that is causing the undesirable behavior.
We train most horses here at the JH Appaloosa's & Quarter Horses, however, we can come to your location to teach your horse.
