Horsemanship Lessons

Teaching safe horsemanship at your barn or ours. Learn how to understand what your horse is telling you. Learn how to ride in a familiar environment on your horse (your place) or try something new on one of ours (Sunfire Ranch in Lehi). I have 22 years of riding experience and 12 years of teaching under my belt. I began riding as a member of the USPC and 4-H. I have worked internationally (Canada and Ireland) as a rider, stable hand, and groom. I have experience guiding trails, driving carriages and rehabilitating rescue horses.... (read more) I am often asked if I teach western or english; my Response is that I teach horsemanship. At a fundamental level the basics of correct horsemanship are the same and riding can be done in any saddle you prefer, or none at all! (Although to jump you do have to be in an english saddle.) Let me help you take the fear and uncertainty out of riding and bring out the best in you and your horse.


I am available to travel to local barns and train clients horses during the week to keep them on a healthy conditioning schedule. I am experienced in starting horses in a resistance free method.


I am now accepting new students, both children and adults.
