For as long as she can remember, Debbie Jamsa has loved horses. Today, Debbie is living her dreams as the owner and head trainer of Happy's Dream Ranch.
After building their first ranch in Houston Texas 12 years ago, Debbie began her teaching career after a trainer she was working with asked if she would be interested in helping with her students. She quickly realized that her love and passion for horses was not just for riding, but it was to also share those values with others.... (read more) Debbie immediately fell in love with teaching. After moving to Arizona, she continued to teach and studied to expand her riding and education. Debbie received certification through the American Riders Instructors Association and was most recently certified with the USHJ Association. In addition, after many years of study, Debbie has been approved by the USEF and granted an 'r' Judges License in Hunters and Hunter Equitation She continues to work with and to inspire our students to develop better horsemanship as well as becoming better riders.
Fulfilling another life long dream, Debbie and her husband Kris founded the Sanctuary at Happy's Dream Ranch. The 36 acre facility cares for Retirement and Rehab horses as well as performance horses that just need to rest. Having the opportunity to care for these wonderful animals is not only a dream, but a way to give something back to them for all the years of service and unconditional love they provided for their owners.
The Happy's Dream Ranch motto: Believe in your dreams and others will believe in you tells much of the Happy's Dream Ranch story

Lizz Blaum, Head Intern at Happy's Dream Ranch
Lizz grew up in New York where she started taking riding lessons at age five. Over the years she became more involved with the stables she rode at and began working on weekends at the stable when only eight years old. Her passion for horses and riding has been lifelong and grows stronger with each day spent working with and around them.
This passion led her to The University of Findlay in Ohio where she double majored in Equine Business Management and Equestrian Studies with an emphasis on English riding and training. Through connections at the school, Lizz was able to spend a summer riding for Tim and Helena Stormanns in Germany. By riding all levels of horses, traveling to shows as a groom, and helping present horses to clients, the time spent in Germany has proven to be invaluable. Her last year at the University of Findlay was spent doubling as a junior and senior and riding for the Intercollegiate Dressage Association team. Lizz qualified for IDA Nationals both as a team rider and as an individual, where she was individual Reserve National Champion in her division.
After graduation, the job search led her to Happy?s Dream Ranch where the horses always come first. Using her experience riding all levels of horses, Lizz is currently schooling the green project horses as well as riding the school masters. In the future, Lizz plans on having her own training program, but for now she is planning on spending her time expanding her knowledge base and riding, riding, riding.
