Located in beautiful midcoast Maine, FGF is home of StarRiders...a LegUp on Learning for Life (c). We provide a multidimensional learning experience to riders, drivers, and handlers of all ages. English and western pleasure riding and pleasure driving lessons and groups are provided as well as trail lessons. Individual and group sessions are also offered for overcoming life obstacles, learning and emotional issues, difficult experiences, and for claiming and practicing habits for life success and happiness.

Services Offered

Training: We work with young horses and with remedial horses, developing ground manners, positive herd behavior, and starting under saddle or in harness. Applying principles of non-violent relationship and natural horsemanship drawn from the teachings of several well-known leaders, we help owners develop confidence, skill, and consistency in the care and management of your horse. We are forthright about the limitations of our experiences and abilities, and will-as appropriate- refer owners to more expert handlers with whose work we respect.

Boarding: Rate: $350/Month , Number of Stalls: 4

Trail Access: Woods roads and fields, available through good neighbor agreements, with an understanding of "ride at your own risk" freedom of responsibility for the landowner. We provide trail lessons, starting with arena warm up time-your horse or ours.
