Calliope Farm specializes in working with horses that need confidence and life experience. We accept green babies, horses and mules that need "miles", naturally gaited Tennessee Walking horses(no performance or padded accepted), Spanish Mustangs, Drafts, grade horses...you name it! Horses not yet under saddle, police mounts, search and rescue Mounts,pleasure and performance horses welcome. We also sell solid trail partners (horse and mule!) for the novice to experinced rider. Services Offered

Training: We feed Purina quality feed products and quality hay. A talented consultant will help make a nutrition plan specific to your horse's needs. (Dr. Jenna Wooten, PHD)

We try to keep our prices afforable and be good stewards of your investment (YOUR EQUINE PARTNER!)

We have LIMITED boarding space at the training farm, but we have retirement spaces, Pasture board Spaces, and broodmare spaces avaliable at our Sister Farm (Robbins Mule Farm).

We also offer professional service and Trail Ride Season "Fitting and Tune Ups"

Training Includes:

~ Starting young horses

~ Working with "troubled" horses or riders with
confidence issues

~ Fitting horse for Trail, MSAR Teams, Police Work or
Pleasure Riding!

~ Finishing horses for Rail or Trail!

Our regular rate for thirty days includes full board. Your horse will stay in a stall in our barn part of the day and will be turned out as much as possible, grain 2-3 times per day, hay, stall cleaned daily, and training. Any additional costs (example Vet, Wormer, or Farrier) are the responsability of the owner.
Horses are required to arrive with a breakaway or leather halter and rope halter. Negative Coggins required.

After the first 30 days of training is complete we evaluate the horse's progress and revisit goal setting.

We customize our training program for each horse/rider team. Our focus is confidence, safety and FUN!

Rates as of Jan. 1st, 2011(under saddle- Tunes Ups -Fitting - does NOT include "lightly" started)
$375/ 30 days of training

Rates as of Jan. 1st, 2011(not yet started -begins with groundwork - lone lineing - saddle starting - backing)
$450.00/ 30 days of training

Boarding: Rate: $300/Month , Number of Stalls: 8
