Christine specializes in restarting OTTBs (Off-Track Thoroughbreds) to prepare them for entirely new careers. These talented horses possess the agility, mental acuity, work ethic and fine breeding that go into making winning performers. Their new life paths can include everything from Hunters, Jumpers, and Dressage to 4-H, Gymkhana and Trail Riding. If you have an OTTB or are thinking of purchasing one, contact us!
Our training is not limited to Thoroughbreds, however. Christine has the ability to adapt to all breeds and disciplines to create a solid foundation for any horse. She uses her Natural Consequences and Bubble philosophies to follow the mount's lead to success. Beginning with ground-work, she will take the time to form a connection and discussion with your horse, moving forward at the pace he sets. While we do believe that the proper equipment can be invaluable, quick fix devices have no place at Black Diamond. We pride ourselves on using a contraptionless training approach.
We offer in-house training that includes board, up to four training sessions per week and one riding lesson for the owner included. We also offer on-farm training at your location, or trailer-in sessions to Black Diamond. Each training program is individually created, so contact us to discuss what will work best for you and your horse!
