Our goal here is to provide a neutral setting for horse and rider. We offer a safe, down home feeling when working you and your equine. We aim to educate our riders not only in their riding skills, but also gain a better understanding of their horse. Building a lasting relationship with a horse can change your life!
Our mission is to build the necessary foundation to form a successful relationship between horse and rider.
What we offer is training, colt starting, lessons, therapeutic riding, clinics, and day camps.... (read more)
We specialize in natural horsemanship training and techniques that is modified to your horse and their needs. We encourage horses starting to be here at least a month and a half. We also encourage owners to visit often as their horse begins learn and understand how to work with us. Our starting program starts from the ground up, progressing to round pen work, trail, and specific discipline work. We do not use force or gadgets to train our horses rather we listen to them and work with them guiding them through their problems. We require horses to be up to date on vaccinations and coggins. We also offer offsite training on a daily or weekly basis.
We also specialize in therapeutic riding. We have a PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship international) formally NARHA, certified instructor and 3 years teaching experience from Riding On Angles Wings in Felton, MN. We serve ambulatory riders right now, as we are looking for a partnership with some local therapists to be able to offer more. There are many benefits with horse therapy for any rider at any age. Benefits can be seen in those with emotional, behavioral, cognitive, social, and physical disabilities. Horses see no limits in a person and neither do we.
Lessons run about an hour-long and cover a wide verity of topics depending on age and experience. Riding is always the center point, but we like to encourage a higher understanding of horses. Topics covered include: safety, horsemanship skills, specific discipline, anatomy, heath and care, proper grooming, judging, stalls, cleaning, owning/costs, feeds and feeding, and many more. We have our own horses here, but you are more than welcome to bring your own horse if they are up to date on their vaccinations and coggins test.
Clinics can cover a wide verity of disciplines, age, experience and horsemanship skill. Covering from 4-H level and above. Ask for more details.
Day camps include a verity of topics covered throughout one day. Stations are set up and each station lasts about 45-50 minutes long. Topics include: riding, care/grooming/safety, arts and crafts, and feeding/costs. Any age and experience levels are welcome.
