Amado Equine Hacienda is located about 30 miles south of Tucson in Amado, AZ. The ranch is situated on 90 acres along the Santa Cruz River. We offer a tranquil atmosphere in a spacious facility. Riding amenities include dressage court, hacking around the inside edge of the property (without having to open or close any gates), enclosed arena, and round pen. There is direct access to the De Anza trail where you can ride for miles and enjoy the picturesque and historic trail.

We specialize in helping horses and riders with the fundamentals of classical dressage, centered riding, and ground skills, which is beneficial for all riding disciplines. We strive to improve your riding skills and communication with your horse, therefore enhancing your overall riding experience. Our unique focus is on building a relationship between horse and rider through hands-on horsemanship. Each student- whether age 5 or 67 - takes care of their horse by completely tacking up before each lesson, and untacking and returning their horse to its stall/corral/pasture when they are done. We believe horses are not just animals to be ridden, but individuals that thrive with abundant interaction and attention from the students.
We teach children (min 10 yrs) and adults how to be with horses, learn horsemanship and conscious dressage in a safe connected and profound way. We offer a safe place to learn and evolve as an equestrian and a human being.
