Johnson Ranch Performance Horse Training

Eric and Katy have developed a program that puts the horse first inside and outside the arena. While Eric cowboys for local ranches with horses in training, Katy helps maintain their training business.

Eric has won multiple Top Hand and Top Horse awards within ranch rodeo. He believes that the true test of a horse is being able to have an effective horse outside the arena. Katy’s main focus is starting futurity barrel horses. Her training is influenced by reined cow horse techniques allowing her horses to develop the physical posture and mental stability for success. Katy said, “When Eric and I started riding together I knew my style of training complimented Eric’s line of work.”
