Clean Brenderup Apollo XE for sale. The Apollo is Brenderup's front-unloading model. The Apollos were only imported to North America for a few years, so they're hard to find. I bought this one in WA state and imported it.
If you have a horse that doesn't like to back off the trailer, or if you just want a trailer that opens up to provide a bright, inviting environment for your horse, or you have a smaller tow vehicle then this could be the trailer for you.... (read more)
The Apollo is a very lightweight trailer (see photo). I was able to easily haul a 17hh warmblood with a Toyota Tacoma up and down mountain passes in the interior of BC. Thanks to the good balance and unitized construction of a Brenderup, the loaded tongue weight of the Apollo is less than 250 lbs.
I had the front ramp and the escape door replaced in 2022 (have receipts). Also, new tires were put on at that time.
It also includes:
- a removable tack box which rides on the front of the trailer.
- a head divider to keep the horses separated, and the head divider swings out of the way so the horse on the driver's side can exit easily via the front ramp.
Other features include:
Durable Galvanized steel frame * Unitized construction for strength and lightweight * Adjustable chest and butt bars, with external quick-release feature on the chest bars * 5-way opening window and vents * Torsion axles (and Brenderups even have shock absorbers!) * Inertia brakes on all wheels (you don't need a brake controller in the vehicle) * 5' tall spring-assisted ramp - You can drive with the storm panel up or down.
I love this trailer for its ease of use, manoeuvrability, and light weight.Show less
