The tobiano gene is commonly seen in paint horses and some other breeds. It causes large white areas mixed with solid colors on one or both sides of the horse. Legs will commonly be white and the tail is often two colors.
Common types of tobiano horses include bay tobiano, black tobiano, buckskin tobianos, chestnut and sorrel tobianos, grey tobianos and palomino tobianos.
