Students in our program learn all aspects of horse care, ground work, liberty training, and riding. Students will learn how to care for a horse including grooming, feeding, hoof care, first aid, barn chores, and much more. They will also enjoy learning how to safely handle horses on the ground. Groundwork is a great way to build a student's confidence in their own leadership skills while also building the horse's trust and confidence in the student.... (read more) In the saddle, safety is always our top priority. Students will start by learning basic techniques to ensure they have the ability to control their horse. Once riders can demonstrate basic control, we move our focus to balance and coordination exercises to build their strength and confidence in the saddle. Once all the basics are mastered, they will be ready to participate in faster gaits, more challenging patterns, and more complex obstacle courses.
