This is a service contract. The following services shall be consideration in lieu of $2000 rental payments for 3BR house on site. Stipend up to $1000 per month for excellent work!

Barn Maintenance

DAILY:
Feed horses & turn out/in.
Pick stalls daily.
Barn check at 9pm.

WEEKLY:
Clean Bathroom, Office, Tack Room and Feed Room.
Wash water and feed buckets

Walk fence line for repairs.
Wash Rack – 30 minutes

QUARTERLY
Deep clean the office, bath and tack room from top to bottom.
Power-wash outside of all buildings at least once.
Chain saw and remove weed trees on property line. Cut low hanging branches. Bush hog around trees on property line.

AS NEEDED:
Fill driveway holes with gravel as needed. Landlord provides a truck for gravel pick up.
Maintain a solid supply of stall bedding. Landlord provides a truck for bedding pick up.
Water and Drag the arenas as needed for use. Twice a week is expected.
Grass Mowing and weed whacking as needed for a clean appearance.
Hay work in summer – Assist with equipment maintenance and baling hay.
Purchase grain in bulk at feed mill for the barn – we provide check.
Barn and wooden fence repairs as needed.

Pasture Management-
Once per week pick manure from boarder paddocks. Owner paddocks – Every two weeks.
Bush hog fields when needed.

Equipment Maintenance
Oil changes, checking tire pressure, topping of radiator, are all part of daily equipment maintenance.

Hold Your Horses Stable

Welcome! We are a 35-acre boarding and training stable located 14 miles south of Columbus. We accept full boarders and provide twenty 12'x12' and 10'x10' matted, oak stalls, a 60' x 200' indoor arena with heated viewing room, heated restroom, indoor wash rack, 100' x 200' outdoor arena, round pen, and unlimited turn out in 12 paddocks. Riding lessons are available in natural horsemanship, WP, HUS, jumping, reining, ranch pleasure, western dressage.... (read more) Lessons on our horses or you can load in your own. Beginner lessons available for adults and kids! On-site horse leases start at $200 and provide a great way to practice between lessons and learn about horse ownership without the upfront costs. Show preparation and horse training are also available. The Hold Your Horses Stable is a riding and training facility. We welcome volunteers to assist with horse care in exchange for lessons and ride time. If you are an experienced rider looking for a barn to spend time riding quality horses, drop us a line.
