History
Established in 2013.

I started teaching lessons & training horses when I was 15 yrs old. In 2013 at age 25 I took the plunge, started Whisper Training, & went into the horse business full time. My business name comes from an article I read very early on in my own learning (which incidentally has absolutely nothing to do with the term "horse whisperer") which greatly influenced the style of training I decided to pursue.

The quote was "If you teach your horse to respond to a shout, they will never respond to a whisper." In other words most people don't even give their horse a chance to respond to subtle cues. They may not mean to, but they immediately start the equivalent of "shouting" at their horse through overly strong body language, greatly underestimating just how sensitive & perceptive horses can be. I teach people how to communicate with subtle body language & energy as well as learning to read the horse's subtle body language, so you & your horse can truly work as one!

This can cause horses to feel panic, confusion, overwhelmed, or upset, which can be misinterpreted by their humans as being dangerous, uncooperative, stubborn, or unpredictable - when in fact it is the human causing this behavior in the first place. I teach people how to communicate with subtle body language & energy & learn to read the horse's subtle body language & energy so you & your horse can truly work as one - & the horses greatly appreciate it! No one likes to be shouted at & learning to communicate this way can take your partnership to a level you wouldn't have thought possible.
