Meet Nik, the horseman's horse, an attractive Kiger Mustang gelding with an extensive resume. Nik has been ridden in about every situation by a top hand and has the life experience you couldn't put a price tag on.
Nik has been shown in the arena as a Working Equitation mount in the Intro division. He was schooling Novice B tests at home. He's done two seasons of extreme obstacle competitions at the Running I Ranch. He's packed all over the Sierra Nevada mountain range.... (read more) He's been ridden english, western, bareback, bridleless, and dabbled in jumping. He's been used to rope both ends out on the ranch and in the branding pen. Nik has traversed bogs and cliffs, doesn't falter if you need to go work the bulls, and then go turn around and ride him in a parade. He's even done a little target type trick training. He's done it all before and is proven, proven, proven!
With his Kiger roots, Nik's movement is on the animated side, like riding an Andalusian. He knows his gaits and body parts and is happy to ride on a long rein in a shank bit or stick him back in the snaffle and ride him like an english horse. He's been on the back burner, hanging out in the pasture, so he just got brought back to find a new person. He's just not getting used like he deserves and it's a shame to see this guy sitting, when so many other people would be so happy to make him their main man!
Nik is a good boy out in the pasture or in a stall. He's straight forward to handle on the ground and is good to tie, load, bathe, trailer and clip. He has no vices. He's got the awesome, signature primitive markings of the Kiger, as well as the solid legs and hooves that they are known for.
If you have always wanted your very own Disney's Spirit, don't wait. Nik is that diamond in the rough that you don't want to miss out on.
