Leroy is a sweet, fun young gelding with his whole life in front of him. He is well built, stands 15H and is 4 years old. He is a total dork and pet – and he is so much fun to be around. He has a very endearing, playful personality – and he loves to be messed with and have a job.... (read more) He is very bold and curious, he is going to make a very confident solid trail riding companion. He does great outside, is always willing to go into new situations and try anything you point him at. He loves going places, and gets super excited about the water! He is great to catch, is that annoying horse that always comes over to see what you’re doing and wants to be in the middle of it. He will just stand there by you, just for maybe getting some attention. If you have tools, or a cap, or a brush laying around – he may grab them and run off with them. He loves water and when you bathe him he always tries to grab the water hose and put it in his mouth. He is easy to groom, saddle, bridle, and is always quiet to step on – even if he’s been left off for a couple weeks. He catches both leads willingly and evenly, and has a nice naturally balanced trot and lope, he will walk around on a relaxed rein, and he has a nice stop, and already trots and lopes nice circles each direction. This guy has a solid foundation for someone to take on from here and finish any way they like for a particular job, or just enjoy him as he is, as a fun pleasure and trail riding horse. Leroy hops right on the trailer, he stands quietly – and he is just as confident about riding out alone as he is riding out in a group. He just dropped his flat winter hair …and he is absolutely stunning gold color and so shiny now. We are going to try to do some even more recent pictures and videos because he’s completely changed color just in the last few days – and he is even more shiny and gorgeous now! Everyone that pulls in the driveway notices him. Please give us a call if you would like to come see him and meet him, he is definitely one of those horses that you’ll like even more in person, he has a very cool personality. Leroy just wears front shoes, and his feet were just reset last week – he was barefoot this past year, he has really great feet and could easily go barefoot again. His teeth were just done by our equine dentist last month, and he also had his sheath cleaned, his ears preemptively treated for ticks, and was dewormed at that time. He is in great shape and in good health.
