Abby is a 9 yr old 14.2H, gorgeous, stout gray QH mare. She is a laid back trail rider’s dream! If you’re looking for one that’s more whoa than go, and extremely gentle natured, don’t miss this girl! Abby has been used as a family trail horse, where mainly the 11 yr old novice rider used her.... (read more) She’s been rode in town and on trails primarily. She is not spooky in the slightest and is very laid back. She is one of those horses you can haul alone without her going crazy in the trailer or while tied looking for a friend. She stands solid footed wherever you tie her and bathes like a statue. She would be the perfect first horse for the little girl who wanted to crawl all over/under her, braid her hair and call her sprinkles. She’ll stand all day without a fuss and is absolute safe safe safe on the ground to be around the littles. Abby is a brick house and she’ll be able to handle most any size rider! Under saddle, she is very much a more whoa than go kind of gal. While you can absolutely get her to switch gaits, she won’t be one that trots/runs off with you ever! She stands solid as a rock to mount and NEVER will take a step until asked. She goes through water, over railroads and by cars without an issues. In the car world, she’s your Honda Civic, trusty and reliable but not going to win the Daytona 500. Abby is absolutely gentle all the way around and if you can walk a friendly dog, you’ll absolutely be comfortable with this mare. She’s also a comfortable horse to ride at all gaits. She’s best at direct reining but definitely will neck rein with leg pressure. Abby always stops exactly when you ask her to no matter how fast you’re going. She has one of the best, most laid back, gelding like personalities we’ve ever seen with a mare. She gets along with all other horses well and is a zero drama mare. She would excel as a trail horse, lesson horse for baby beginners, first kid horse, or first horse for a timid rider/horseman. She’s an incredibly easy keeper and stays fat on air. Abby is UTD on teeth and feed and is ready to go be her new person’s giant, respectful, quiet, easy going, melodramatic partner!
