This is a cute stocky built horse that is handy broke. The kind of horse a youth could have a lot of fun with doing a little bit of everything! She is a fun horse with the energy you’d expect from a red mare. She’s great on trails and is absolutely NOT SPOOKY.... (read more) Ditches, water, bridges, do not faze her. She has a ground covering walk, and you dont have to exhaust yourself to kick her the whole time. She is not your “first horse type for your nervous and scared to death kid” but would be fine for confident beginners who take lessons. Besides trail riding, She did some barrels and gaming, and English / jumping over smaller jumps. She has a good stop and turn. She is good with all the obstacles, and i could definitely see trail obstacle challenges in her future too. She will drag a log, you can throw a rope off her, goes over poles, bridges, tarps. She was used in a lesson program and has been ridden english a lot too. I have to give her credit, because we have not been able to ride her much this winter/ spring and every time we do its 60mph winds, freezing rain, ice, snow, etc and she really doesn’t seem bothered. I think with a little tune up and a few more regular rides her possibilities are endless. She is mostly easy going, but more of a forward thinker- has a walk with a purpose. Doesnt do anything bad, not goingvto buck or rear- but will try to test you sometimes - like stop, or make faces. She is barefoot, healthy, an easy keeper, no maintenance, no issues. Gets along with others. Can be stalled or turned out. Has a cute refined face and a pretty mane! Good ground manners for grooming, tacking, vet, farrier, stands to be mounted. She is a fun horse for someone who wants to dabble in a bunch of stuff!
