I’m going to preface this by saying, I wish I could keep this guy!! My mom just lost her mare and we’ve got vet bills so that means we have to cut back?
Yeti really can and will do it all! He has been restarted under both English and western tack after having a few years off from the racehorse life.... (read more) He retired from the track sound and with no injuries. Yeti has a flying lead change, is started on the barrel pattern, trail rides, has had a rope swung off of him, drags logs, works gates, and has a very nice handle on him in the arena! He is very soft in the face with 3 lovely gates. Yeti has also been over ground poles and shows tons of promise in the over fences or eventing! If you truly want to do it all, this is your guy!
He is the same horse whether he sits for a month or you just rode him yesterday. No buck, bite, rear, bolt, kick. He has no vices or quirks! He is excellent for both the vet and farrier and will stand tied all day. He just had teeth floated, a fresh coggins, worming, and chiro. He is ready to roll for you! Yeti is as solid as they come wearing a size 2 shoe? He is an easy keeper and is maintained on just quality forage!
Yeti is suitable for an intermediate rider on up. While he is very easy to ride and kid friendly, he is not the dead head, kick ride, beginner type; I imagine he wouldn’t be a fan of being kicked and pulled on unnecessarily as he aims to please and is responsive. He would be excellent for a kid or ammy wanting a fun all around horse!
