Sequoia is a big beautiful buckskin dun mare! She is 13 years old and stands at 14.3 hands tall. Sequoia is our personal horse and we have owned her for the last 8 years! We are offering her for sale but we don't have to sell her. She's been a dream to own. Sequoia's a been there done that mare. She’s had 1 foal and she was a good momma and had zero issues. She is not registered. Sequoia is my wife's trail horse and she's been hauled and rode many miles trail riding national forest , eminence mo, and along highways and trails.... (read more) I've also used her at the sale barn penning cattle. Will open and close gates, side pass, and backs up. I have tracked and roped a roping dummy on her a bunch, also have roped on her out of the roping chute at least 30 times, headed and healed. I'm not a big roper but caught on both ends a few times and she took right to it and did great and I would say she's started well for team roping. As far as ranch use i mainly herded a few steers from the pasture to a big lot and practiced cutting, sorting, and roping them. She does really well and will cut and track a steer. We've also ridden her at local horse shows. She's one that everyone wants to ride. She's ran barrels, poles, trail class and western pleasure. She will do a day's work and I've done a lot of training on her. We mainly just used and rode her occasionally for fun. She's been ridden by various people and kids. She is smart, sensible and gentle natured. She's laid back but will have some get up and go if you want her too and will settle back down and walk. Sequoia is easy to catch and will stand tied all day. She isn't buddy sour and doesn't mind being alone or with other horses and ponies. She also does good with kids leading and grooming her. Sequoia will cross rivers, creeks, puddles, go over logs, and will go anywhere you point her. She has good ground manners and no bad habits. She bathes, loads, leads, hauls quietly, stands tied, easy to catch, grooms, easy to shoe, saddles, bridles, and stands good. She's a great ranch using type horse that's been there, done that, and not been used up. She is healthy and in good shape and has a lot of use left. She is suitable for any level of rider and would be a great horse for someone to learn on. We have several videos and countless pictures.
