Here is one for sure .. I like to think I'm pretty honest about what I sell so here we go . I should try to make the mare sound a little better, but I know I'm disappointed in what she is, so no point really
This mare did not come from a sale. Came from a private home, locally. She was supposed to be a amazing horse for literally anyone. While she's not mean, I don't think she's broke, lol. She's no man killer, didn't offer any hump, bucking, etc.... (read more)
She's nervous to saddle, hard to bridle, hard to get on .. and has very little idea of steering. Now she isn't mean about it.. I think she is just clueless. With that being said, if you make her follow, she will follow all day long.
If someone wants to spend time with her and all, she'd be a pretty project with potential. She was supposed to be a gaited draft cross. She may gait some, then trots. So you be the judge.
Supposed to be a 10yo.. I would call her 13/14. She has never been to a sale. Always at one place. She has been trailered to trail rides ( or so I was told... For whatever that is worth) and trailered to the indoor arenas to ride. Probably 15 hands but could be a bit smaller, I didn't measure.
I've tried to be honest about her, so let's see..

I gave 2000 for her-- make me a offer. Worst I'll say is no. But don't offer me something insulting, please. Lol.. if this mare was as she was said to be, she would have be a LOT higher dollar if I sold her at home.

We won't offer meet and greets, we won't offer test rides....sorry.

We buy and sell horses and ponies. There are several of us who work with all the animals and evaluate them, figure out their personalities and quirks, and let's be honest, they all have them. We are very honest about what we are selling and tell all the behaviors we have noticed while they are with us. Key words being "while they are with us." If you take them home, feed 10 gallons of grain, don't ride them and let them get away with every bad behavior possible, we can't help that when their behavior changes.
