Quigley is a Percheron/Dutch Harness Horse Cross gelding born 3/14/2021. Currently measures at 16 hands and still growing. He is one of the sweetest horses you’ll meet and is eager to please. Quigley is very calm for his age and nothing seems to bother him. He is very used to farm equipment, traffic, dogs, cattle, and other horses; he’s been ponied and we’ve ponied youngsters off him. He has had 120 days of professional driving and riding training.... (read more) I would not consider him fancy broke but he has a good foundation and would suit any level rider. Smooth W/T/C, more woah than go, moves off leg pressure, backs up, listens to voice cues, good ground manners, and longes well. He gets along with everyone in the field but is the low man on the totem pole. Under harness he is all business and is flashy pulling a cart. He ground ties to be hitched. Let him sit for a month and he picks right back up where you left off. Quigley is UTD on shots, coggins, teeth floated and dewormer. He is good with the vet and farrier but could use a little more work holding his feet for the farrier; nothing bad, just a young horse learning. He is barefoot and sound. Super easy keeper. Stalls, loads, ties, and stands for bath, tacking, and mounting. No bad habits or vices. Quigley has so much potential and could go in ANY direction. Whether it’s trail riding, dressage, fox hunting, driving, showing or lessons, Quigley can be your guy for the whole family to enjoy. No tire kickers, serious inquiries only! Quigley is currently on consignment and can be viewed with Gretta Gillespie. Located in Seven Valleys PA.
