Here is a very beautiful registered bay gelding, standing 15.1hh and prime age of 7yo. Paddy Melt is sure to be the one eyes are on wherever he goes.... (read more) He has a beautiful classy look to him, he’s rich bay, sturdy built, and has all the mane and tail you could ask for!
Paddy Melt was started correctly and will break at the poll to W/T/L as shown in video. He neck reins and is easy to guide. Paddy stands very still to be mounted and walks of gentle. He has mainly been used and seasoned/hauling out on trail rides for the last 2 years with a 15 year old. He has seen alot of sights, as well as a couple parades and he has also been ridden in the down town Fort Worth Stockyards. He handles traffic and lots of movement very well. When on the trail Paddy Melt is the kind of horse if another won’t cross a log, mud, or water, you can send him to the front and he will be the one to cross leading the others. He is not scared to go where you point him. He’s a very trusting horse. He will lead or follow in a group, or he will ride out alone. If you’re wanting one to truly WALK and not pull on you he is perfect. He makes trail riding actually enjoyable because he’s a point and put your hand down kind of guy with only using one hand the whole time. Paddy Melt has one of the sweetest and most gentle demeanors we have had with a horse. He never will run from you in the pasture, and he will always be right in your grill asking for some pets! He loves his face rubbed and you can touch him all over, down his legs, etc, he enjoys all of that! He will even stand still tied up to be clipped on his face. He’s very easy to saddle, groom, pick feet, etc. Paddy is good with flags, bouncy balls, crawling underneath him, standing up on him, all the gentle things one should do in that manner!
We have used Paddy on large gatherings in the wheat pasture. He is great to gather yearlings on. He also doesn’t get buddy sour, he’s perfectly content with just being with you in a massive wheat field. He will just stand if needed.
This is a very gentle easy going horse that is bred with a lot of potential. He is still young and broke enough to make him into what you want!
Paddy is a seasoned trail horse 100% he’s been hauled, no pawing the trailer or acting a fool. He stands tied quietly. Paddy is good in the arena as shown in the video, but he has mainly been used as a gentle type horse the last 2 years because of his puppy dog personality. I wouldn’t say he is a lazy horse but he is not a hot performance tempered kind of horse. He is just find with easing around! Making him a perfect family type. He is so gentle and friendly, I cannot express his personality enough. This guy is SWEET. This demeanor is hard to come by. He is such a nice horse.
Paddy is bred well and absolutely stunning. He has huge bones and clean legs. He is shod all the way around. Paddy is a sound mover and easy keeper. He will come with a UTD coggins. His tetanus was also up to date in the last couple of months as well as his teeth floated.
