(read more) Sawyer is a seasoned trail horse with extensive experience navigating the trails and backroads of Kentucky. He handles steep, rocky terrain with ease and confidently crosses any body of water you point him toward. Sawyer is a solid, dependable horse who isn’t flighty or spooky. He’s content riding alone or in a group and is comfortable leading or following. He has a smooth, four-beat flat walk that you can enjoy all day on a light rein. With a soft mouth, he responds well to a gentle snaffle bit. Sawyer is well-broke, standing quietly for tacking and grooming. He’s patient when mounting and will even come to the mounting block to pick you up. He backs up quietly, lopes off with ease, and is happy to walk the trails at a relaxed pace. In the herd, he sits at a low to mid-level in the pecking order and gets along well with other horses. He stands tied quietly and hauls like a dream.
