"Basil" is a fantastic prospect suitable for a well riding Junior or Amateur to bring along in a program, but also has enough talent to be an upper level professional mount. He is exceptionally easy to flat, is light in the hands and moves off of leg well. Over fences, he has his own motor, but is very respectful. He is jumping 2'6" courses at home and with some more time and fine tuning, this horse is going to make a great packer.... (read more)

We see Basil as a horse with many options. He is pretty enough for the Hunter ring, has the step and scope to be a Derby prospect and has the talent to make it in the Jumper ring. Basil will be happy with whatever discipline his next rider chooses.

In the Stable:
- sweet, snuggly, respectful
- easy to handle in stall and in the field

Under Saddle:
- jumping 2'6" courses
- has his own motor, but is respectful to all aids.
- has a lead change, but they do need fine tuning. Getting better with them each ride.
- zero spook or naughty behavior. Extremely brave and honest horse who will get you over the jump no matter what.

No vices, no maintenance. UTD on everything and stands great for vet, farrier and to trailer.
