Royce is an 8 y/o (as of January 2025) black quarter horse gelding standing at 14.3.hh. He is a very sweet and playful in your pocket type gelding with a big personality and will walk right up to you in the pasture.
He is good at walk/trot/lope. He is very much a push style horse and he has a real nice/ big seat stop, a smooth lope, and he also neck reins. i would not suggest him as a kids horse unless very advanced, and assertive as he does have his moments and will test you.... (read more) He doesn't buck he just hops up and throws his head some, he's not spooky but he does tend feed off of other horses energy.
He's good out on the trail i have trail ridden him alone and with other horses. He will go through an obstacle course and will cross water with encouragement, he's carried a flag and done low level mounted drill team. He's been in parades with the drill team as well. you can swing a rope off of him he does not care about it whatsoever, he has tracked a sled and roped the dummy out a box a few times at the trot/lope and is fine around cows/dogs/ livestock/machinery. He currently lives with 2 goats. He does perfect in a stall for at overnight events. He loads good. I've hauled him to arenas/a few small rodeos and he's been good he doesn't like the sound of bleachers l've found ear poms to help a ton with that. He stands tied, stands for bathing, is good with blanketing, is good for the farrier/vet. He's barefoot, but has had shoes in the past. He's over all an amazing horse the reason for selling is I'm simply looking for something faster/bigger. He could make a jam up barrel or breakaway horse with someone with the right tools.
