Sugar N Pep (Barn name: Callista) is a beautiful 13-year-old paint mare. I have only had Callista a couple of years, so I don’t know her full history. I bought her as a companion horse for my yearling and was planning to use her as a broodmare if my circumstances allowed it. However, my circumstances have changed and I need to find her another home. I was told at the time of her purchase that she was broke to ride but I have never tried to ride her.... (read more) She does take a saddle and a hackamore bridle without any issues, so she just might just need refresher training; however, because I travel for work a large chunk of the year, I do not have the time or resources to do so. Callista is a very intelligent horse who has a great pedigree bred for ranch work and I believe she would develop nicely in any direction with someone who has the time to work with her. She would also make a good pasture companion or broodmare for someone looking for a mare with color. She is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has a clean bill of health, catches and trailer loads easy. Does need a gentle farrier. She is registered (see photos), although I never put her papers in my name.
