Dakota is a beautiful, well-bred and very gentle 4 year old, 14.3 Hd buttermilk buckskin gelding. This sweet horse is truly beautiful inside and out. Look at his pedigree! It is no accident that he is as good as he is! He’s kind, good natured, and always gentle with plenty of talent and a friendly personality. Good conformation and has an aim to please disposition. He performs well outside as well as in the arena. In the ring Dakota will have a good one hand neck rein and a super smooth jog and lope.... (read more) He collects up well and will lope out on cue. Takes his leads, has a good stop and backs soft and with ease. He moves off leg and hand pressure well and will side pass over to open and close the gates. On the trails, Dakota is happy to lead or follow as well as ride in any position of a group or out on his own. He is sure footed and dependable in steep mountain terrain and picks his way through our rocky river bottom very well. Crosses the river, creeks, trail bridge, tarps, and other trail obstacles. He carries the flag and is a Rockstar with all the desensitizing we do. Dakota is equally good to ride around our busy neighborhood streets. He handles all the busyness of the fast passing vehicles, bicycles, the neighborhood dogs and farm animals very well.
