She has raised a foal the last three years; her most recent being a buckskin stud colt on 6-6-24. Minnow was exposed to Gene Hetletved’s stallion Coppers High Dasher 6-8-24 to 9-21-24. Minnow has been a range broodmare her whole life, and has been foaling unassisted. She would do best in a pasture situation where she can continue to run as a range broodmare.

I halterbroke Minnow when I got her in the fall of 2024, but I didn’t go any further than that with her training. Minnow has respiratory issues when she’s eating strictly hay, and because of this she will not fit my program as I can’t manage her properly with my setup.

Minnow is out of Debby Gorrell’s program. Minnow has six lines to High Rolling Roany, two through Rolling Jax Copper, and also sports names like Melanies Doc Boy and Zan Gold Jackson. Minnow’s dam is a favorite mare of her breeder, and hails from Gene Hetletved’s program. Minnow is 6-panel clean through Animal Genetics (HYPP, HERDA, GBED, PSSM1, MH, IMM), and is color tested EE AA, with a minimum of one copy of roan. She could be homozygous for roan, but is not tested.

Minnow sells freeze-branded Lazy K M Over Bar on her left shoulder. Minnow can be caught if a person is thoughtful of her, has not been trimmed or shod, and trailers decently. She was last dewormed on 10-1-24. Vet checks welcome at buyer’s expense. Buyer responsible for shipping, and Coggins and Health paperwork if outside of the state of Montana.
