For sale or lease: 18 year old Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred by the name of "Champ." A very good boy who looks like a thoroughbred but has the mind and temperament of a Quarter horse.

A very nice ride, listens well, enjoys working, very soft mouth, and great for trails with lots of experience doing barrels. An absolute saint who stands quietly, and enjoys working. He’s wonderful bareback, and I have taken him on trails like that.... (read more) Also rides well in just a halter if you like just trotting around in the pasture. After bonding with his rider, he will follow you around and ask for forehead scratches. Moves well off leg pressure.

Ideal for anyone really, especially kids and husbands. Currently kept barefoot,on hay and half a scoop of feed each day and comes with a bridle and ez boots. No problems with trailering.

Only negatives are that his feet are sensitive when it gets super muddy outside so needs a nice dry place, and tends to be possessive of mares, so I don't suggest having a mare as a pasture-mate. He cribs, but comes with a cribbing collar, so it’s not an issue.

Last vet check was done early August, when he also had his teeth done.
