AQHA 7 year old, 14.3 Hand buckskin mares with plenty of shape and looks. Honey is a very sweet, kind and personable mare. She has wonderful ground manners, loves people and attention. Honey is a solid Trail Horse that’s equally solid to ride around our busy neighborhood and in urban environments. On the trail, she will happily ride in any position. A great leader and is also happy to follow, ride in the middle of a group or out on her own. She navigates our steep rugged trails very well.... (read more) Sure footed and dependable in steep and rocky terrain. Crosses the river, creeks, trail, bridge, tarps, down, timber, etc. When riding in the neighborhood Honey is traffic safe with all vehicles. Trucks, motorcycles and bicycles. She calmly walks past the mini farm with the pigs, goats, ducks, turkeys, chickens, as well as all the neighborhood dogs that run up barking at us as we ride by. Ties, bathes, loads and halls great. Good for the Farrier and blanketing. She gets along outstanding in the pasture, turned out with geldings, mares and our burro as well as in a box stall or a pen by herself. She carries the flag and will hop right in the trailer. Although honey is a fantastic trail Horse she is not happy in the arena. We think that someone in her not too distant past got her soured about arena work. For this reason only we do not recommend her for a novice rider. Honey is very sound and has good confirmation, bone, and feet.
