STL Roanin the Blue Corona, aka "Boone" is my young and still-growing solid blue roan gypsy stallion. Currently, he measures at 14.1 hands but has time to still grow as he's not even 5 yet and still filling out. He is registered through the GVHS and is PSSM1 and FIS clear and his legs are clean, absolutely no signs of CPL whatsoever.... (read more) His DNA colors are: Rn/n Ee W20/n. This means that he will produce a roan 50% of the time, he has 1 black and 1 red gene and the one W20 gene he has, has to do with the distribution of white hairs on the body. So he can produce a blue or red roan offspring.
He is sweet, very personable and has progeny already on the ground out of my mares and I would be happy to share photos of those babies before they were sold. This 2025 season is the first time that I have ever offered him to outside mares. His stud fee is $1500 for cooled semen through artificial insemination only (no live cover) and this is for all gypsy mares and draft breeds. **However, I will entertain the possibility of breeding him to a non-gypsy mare that will need to be approved and you will need to contact me directly for pricing.
He went through AI collection training just this past December at Equine Medical Services in Ashland, MO (a leading reproduction equine clinic in MO and beyond and where collection will take place) where his semen was tested and evaluated for cooled shipped semen and the report was that he's good-to-go. Additionally, one of the leading vets there said that Boone was "great to work with" and he was "easy because he cooperated so well and caught on immediately". This is the kind of temperament this stallion has, very willing, and very smart, and he has seemed to pass these traits onto his young ones. It also helps that he also loves his humans.
I offer a Live Foal Guarantee, with a written contract, so all areas are covered in writing. The breeding fee does not include collection and shipping. All mares will need to be approved so owners will need to submit photos and information on each mare prior to any contracts being sent. Boone's stud fee requires a $500 booking fee (deposit) upon signature of contract that is non-refundable. Feel free to reach out to ask questions or to see more photos or videos.
