Here is a pony that is fun for the whole family! Scout is independently rideable and can pull a cart. He will need a refresher on pulling a cart as it has been a while. Scout has worked our petting zoo and is a fan favorite.
Scout is a 14 year old 34” mini pintaloosa gelding with two blue eyes. He can be registered with the International Pattern Sporthorse Registry. Did you know that the pintaloosa coat pattern is the hardest to achieve?... (read more) He is a pretty unique boy!
Scout has way more woah than go. It is going to take a kid with a lot of gumption to get him to trot or canter. His preferred gear is a slow amble.
Scout leads, loads, ties, etc. He is extremely aware of where he places himself when around a little one. He is quick to stop when they do. Scout can go out on grass, no history of founder. He has been pastured with mares, geldings, donkeys, and calves. He is an easy going boy. He stalls fine and enjoys spending the hottest part of the day in front of a fan. He has no issue being the only one in the barn or tied out by himself to eat.
Scout can be a typical Appaloosa. When in consistent work he is perfect but when he is left to sit, he can be watchy and harder to catch. He has never offered to kick or bite.
Scout will come with a current coggins and is up to date on shots, worming, and farrier care.
