This is "RED SOCKS", a really cool CHESTNUT MORGAN SHIRE CROSSBRED gelding that is broke to ride and drive. This gelding is stout made with lots of bone and substance. He stands 15.3 hands tall and is 11 years old. He is a brave and confident trail horse that has been through deep flood water, ridden in ice and snow, and been through the cross country driving courses. He will go anywhere you point him willingly. He has a nice lope and a nice extended jog when asked for it.... (read more) He stops easily, backs up, stands to harness, hitch, tack, mount, and groom. He has been driven in the woods, on the dirt roads, and on the main roads. He is traffic safe, not spooky, and will ride out alone without hesitation. He is fine with dogs, tractors, side by sides, and other farm machinery. This gelding will hook up and work as well and has pulled 4 wheel wagons, 2 wheel carts, and sleighs.
