“Ritz” is a HIGH CALIBER rope horse ready to go to the futurities! Looks, pedigree, & talent wrapped up into this 15 hh gelding.... (read more) He is an own son of $1.2 million sire: Tinker With Guns who is by $16 million sire, Gunner. Ritz is out of a daughter of $4.2 million sire: Smart Like Juice. This gelding has talent infused in his blood. This guy is already a money earner from his first weekend of jackpots!! We have had this gelding for a year and know that he is the GOODS.
Ritz has a big white strip and four white socks with a very friendly personality. This guy will literally try to kiss your face off. He is a very funny guy that loves to mess around and play when he can. Ritz is absolutely gentle and safe for anyone to ride. He is used to farm machinery, crazy dogs, and all the chaos on the farm. Whether you want to ride in the arena or on the trails, he is ready.
This prime-aged gelding is extremely talented. He was started as a reiner and can perform every maneuver with ease. Ritz has a beautiful trot and lope that would look fantastic in a ranch riding class. He will spin fast or slow and change leads no problem. His #1 attribute is for sure his stops. This guy was born to stop!! No matter how fast you go, he will always be ready to hit the breaks.
Ritz spent all last summer roping on the heel side. He has roped many, many steers and is no doubt ready to hit the show pen or jackpots. Ritz remains quiet and user friendly in the box, but shows intensity and quick footedness when given the green light. He has the substance and ability to be headed on and we have steer stopped a lot on him as well. He would also be a great candidate for calf roping and breakaway. His ability to read a cow makes him exceptional to rope on.
This gelding is 100% sound and has had clean radiographs. He will crib when in a stall. We knew this when we bought him, and did not care due to his incredible talent and mind. The cribbing does not affect his life in any way. He is a great eater and we do not even put a collar on him.
