Introducing "Mae" a 2017 model APHA mare whose coppery deep chestnut beauty will sweep you off your feet.  This sweet lady is available to come home with you and probably won't be waiting around for a new home for very long even though we're still in the middle of winter.  While she looks like a solid paint, she's actually an overo!

This horse is a love bug to be around and very affectionate once you let her out of her shell.... (read more)   The only vice I've been able to find is that she pins her ears (nothing more) when you get between her and her hay when she's hungry and sometimes gets cranky when the saddle first goes on. 

She's been ridden mainly walk/trot in Western Pleasure and has great bloodlines that make her a desirable broodmare.  She still has some zip to her step though if you ask so she's not to be pigeon-holed into one job.  She does indicate an interest in doing more and different things.  She's amazing with all the young ladies at the barn from beginner on up and appreciates special attention. 

While she can occasionally have some freshness on a crisp day or after sitting, it's nothing that an easy lunge can cure in a few minutes.  From what I've seen she can be lunged by a beginner. She's been out on trails, over bridges and through obstacles. Really this gal is just waiting for you to take her home and love on her. 

She's been mainly in the barn, but when turned out has done well with both geldings and mares.  We're aware she'd like more turn out than she's currently able to have. 

She had a suspensory injury that the vet has cleared as fully healed.  She also has a fresh set of X Rays if you'd like to look while trying her out but we will not be sharing those unless you are a serious buyer.  You are welcome to do a PPE at your expense.  

Mae is well loved by her current owner and it is important that she find a good home. She's moving on through no fault of her own.  My role is to help get her to the best place possible for her. I've known her for two years, worked with her on the ground with ease many times, and ridden her the past month.
