Vanadis from Azur, aka Freyja, is an extraordinary mare in every way. As a riding horse she is suitable for all levels of rider, taking care of beginners or moving out for those that are advanced. She is the coveted type of horse that can sit in the pasture for extended periods of time & still ride off as if she had been ridden every day with no buck, bolt, rear or other negative behaviors. Tolt is easy to find & maintain when riding.

Freyja is a taller Icelandic, standing just under 14 hands barefoot.... (read more) She is genetically 5 gaited, confirmed with DNA Testing, so her foals will always be at least 4 gaited, depending on the stallion's genetics. She has been color tested & is E/e, with no agouti & no color modifiers. Freyja has excellent ground manners & anyone can handle her. She stands quietly for the vet & farrier. Breeding exams & inseminations are easily done without sedation needed. She gets along well with other horses in the pasture. Freyja loads & unloads easily into any trailer & hauls quietly by herself or with other horses.

As a broodmare Freyja has produced 5 foals. She has been bred successfully by live cover & AI (cooled semen). She has had no problems conceiving , carrying to term or foaling. She is an excellent mother that allows people to handle her foal without any negative behaviors.

Freyja is also available for breeding lease in the 2025 season for $5,000. If she is leased she will not be offered for sale during the lease period.

Freyja is UTD or farrier, vaccines & dental. A pre-purchase exam at buyer's expense is welcome & encouraged. An optional trial period is available if desired (written contract will apply).
