He is the pony that kids dream of owning and that parents trust to keep their kiddos safe. Pepper is a unique chocolate chestnut color with a beautiful thick flaxen mane and tail. (read more) He walk trot and canters on a loose rein, steers with leg and seat, has flying lead changes, and has excellent breaks. He is more of a push style ride so he is not in a rush to get anywhere making him great for those beginners and timid riders. For the last couple months, Pepper has been working in our lesson program teaching all types of riders including the first timers to the more advanced students that jump and show. This fall Pepper showed in a few hunter shows in X poles and 2ft. He performed well and won a few blue ribbons! Pepper also rides western! He trail rides like an old pro. Nothing phases him out in the woods. He’s seen it all from the hills, creeks, ponds, thick brush, logs, mud, and wildlife. Just when you think Pepper couldn’t get any better well he is also trick trained! He knows how to sit and lay down on command. A tap on his left shoulder blade or on his left front ankle and he lays right down to get on or off. Pepper has wonderful ground manners. He will ground tie, cross tie, or tie to a post and stand all day to be groomed. He also stands for other things like saddling, farrier, mounting/dismounting, bathing etc. He is also well broke to drive Hook him up and head to town, a parade or take him sledding in a snowy day, he’s game to do it! He is a finished, safe, quiet, bombproof pony with absolutely no holes in his training! On top of that he has the talent and training to take your young rider to the winners circle.
