CHAMPAGNE TOAST ("Toast") is a 17.0hh dark bay gelding with a laid back personality. Toast is a 2018 OTTB retired from racing after 9 starts with no injuries. He has been lightly restarted with a dressage foundation but is not in full work. His self carriage and smooth gaits show promise in the dressage and hunter arenas. Has been trailered off property to trail ride 3 times in the past year and had no issues loading.

Current owner spent the last year putting weight on the horse after he was let down from racing.... (read more) Has been slowly restarted under saddle for the past 6 months at w/t and has just started to canter. He is ready to start building muscle and learn a new job!

Toast is steady, safe, and sane horse who requires a rider with a strong leg to encourage him to go forward. While fairly brave off property, he is makes a better follower than a leader.

Like most thoroughbreds, Toast requires front shoes. He is due for spring shots and Coggins in May. Current barn vet appointment scheduled for 3/11/25.
